Here are some of my most recent purchases. The two hawk bills were the ones from eBay, nice knives, the points do indeed look factory, the one is mint the other is close.
I picked these knives up at a local auction last night, all for reasonable prices. I mowed a few lawns and this is what I spent my money on. A mint 858 (huge stockman, didnt realize how large they were), a 34OT, Im getting sick of finding these things so cheap, Ill have to re-handle on and fancy it up a bit, And a nice 194OT. The other two arent Schrade, one is a Boker black bone/composition (dont know which yet) congress and a Hibbard Spencer Bartlett and co half whittler.
I am contemplating making a custom from one of the hawkbills, keep the best one as is, and redo the other one with new handles, blade shape, ECT. Both have the skinning and scraping etch on the blade. The one has been used to strip wire, I strip a lot of wire and I can tell, the scratches on the blade are from stripping wire. The pic doesnt do any of these knives justice.
