Just picked this up second hand and I was wondering about when it would have been made. I'm just guessing that it may have been made late 80's or early 90's? anyone have a clue. the sheath has a star stamped above 14 and I had not seen this before.

Your guessed dates are probably close. The Star was Greg Gutcher's (Sullivan's Holster Shop) original way in the late 1980's of marking a replacement Randall knife sheath sold with no knife present...later various stamps were used that had the Sullivan's logo. Being that the sheath was sold as a replacement, it's likely not original to the knife, which in turn makes dating the knife a bit more challenging. Nice knife, hope that helps.
