Just got a new knife in the mail (ebay rocks!). It is a Ti handled combo-edge folding Bob Lum tanto. This knife is a serious knife with a thick strong blade, beautiful grinds, tight lock (about 50% over), very smooth opening and good looking to boot. The blade is centered almost perfectly, locks up the same opened slowly or quickly, and it looks like the edge is still factory! Anybody know what kind of washers/pivot it has? I'm leary about taking it apart since it is in such nice condition.

There doesn't seem to be much history about this knife in the forum or on the web. I know that it was discontinued some time ago in favor of the G-10 (cost reasons perhaps?). Anybody else really like this knife?

I've got one of them myself - pure drawer queen it is. My one knife just to take out and fondle from time to time.

The Ti handled Lum Tanto is truly one of my top 5 Spyderco knives of all time. I also have a G-10 version of that knife and I treasure it as well. I am a little perplexed that this knife has no more fanfare than it has. I am also perplexed that the Spyderco Lum tanto folders did not take off any better than they did. I guess maybe price might have been a big hurdle. You can put the Lil' Temperance in that same light. Both knives are "shoo ins" for the Spyderco Hall of Fame. ;)
