Posted this on the W&SS forum but I guess I should post it here too eh !
When I first got into quality knives Swamprat knives were the ones I used to drool over the most. At the time they still had the rubber handles and the Howling Rat was the epitome of a survival knife for me, for whatever reason I never did get a Howler but I have owned some other Rats and still believe they are right up there with the toughest knives on the planet.
Anyway enough of the past, I've just become the proud owner of another cheese munching beast and I took it out for it's first trip today !
I never thought the rain would stop but stop it did and the sun even made a brief appearance...

I soon found some Fatwood for it to feed on...

Here is the sheath set up, there is room in the front pocket for my Victorinox Soldier and my firesteel. I might find a tin that fits and make it a small PSK.

I'll be giving this knife plenty more work but initial impressions are that I love it !
