Here are my last two Christmas orders, slipjoints #19 and #20. I build them all as one-off's, but I made an effort to get the dimensions, etc, on these the same at the customer's request. Both are D2 steel blade and spring. One is canvas micarta with stainless pins and bronze birdseye washers, and the other is crimson Aberdeen jigged bone from Culpepper. Flush at all three positions, with a half stop.

Nice, I especially like the crimson jigged bone!

Jason, how are you milling the pockets for your "washers"? End mill?

Yes, I have both 1/4 and 3/8 endmills, but no mill. Using the drill press, I drill the liners first, then the pivot hole through the handle material. I then use the 3/32 drill, put it in the hole, clamp the material solidly, then put the endmill in without moving the table or adjusting the clamps. Then I mill the pocket, about 2/3 of the way through the handle material. Washer ends up around 3/32 thick usually by the time I'm done shaping, etc.

Two or four flute end mill?

The one I have is two flute. Not sure it makes a difference, I'm fairly inexperienced regarding milling. I have had better luck spinning them faster rather than slower. Forgot, after you mill the pocket, you put the washer in with a drop of superglue, grind the top flush to the handle material, then drill the pivot hole from the back side, using the liner as a guide.
