Hey all, I just finished these two up. They are a couple letter openers. They will be X-Mas and Birthday gifts. Now I just need to make two more.:barf: They are cool looking and all, but not much fun to grind.

Both are a twist interupt patterns using 51 layers of 15N20 and C1095. Handle scales are Amboyna Burl. Blade width (widest) is about 1.0 inches, and blade length is about 7 inches. Over all length is about 11 inches.

I messed up the pattern a couple times, but luckly, I was able to forge that down to the handle end where it is less noticable.

Anyway, let me know what you think, good or bad.

I think they look great ...someone is getting these for Christmas ?

Well that someone must have been very good to earn these.

Sweet !
:D

That is the baddest letter opener I've ever seen. And that damascus is sweet!

Man, that is some fantastic work... it is so clean! You web page is awesome and your Damascus is just about as nice as I've seen....

Your skill at forging/grinding daggers is just great and I love your wire-wrapped hilts!

Your blacksmithing is wonderful and those pieces you've made are very nice.

What else can I say?!?

BRAVO!!!

I confess they do look immensely fine as Xmas gifts. In fact, they would look good for any season of the year. :) :)

Those are without a doubt the best looking letter openers I have ever seen! Materials and workmanship are superb!
