Blade Length.........2.750 inches
Over All Length......6.625 inches
Scales..................African Blackwood and Amboyna Burl
Weight.................1.5 ounces

The same twist damascus (C1095 and 15N20) was used for the blade and back spacer. Heat treated back spacer with fire colored titanium liners.

I deleted the damascus bolsters and put an Amboyna Burl overlay on top of the African Blackwood scales. This gave a very clean look and reduced the weight from 2.5 ounces to 1.5 ounces. I don't know if I like the bolsterless look as much, but it is definitely slim and trim looking.

What for you think? I originally wanted more of a framing effect of the blackwood around the amboyna, but I need to make a few modifications to screw locations to get the framed look.

At first I had no idea it was a folder (didn't read the stats first) and had kind of mixed opinions, then I scrolled down and for some reason I think it looks great as a folder. I really like it.

Love the shape of the handle and the blade. Looks like it would feel great in the hand.

Oh YEah! Looks like a damn fine user shape. Ize Likes It!

Interesting! I think with wood I prefer the bolsters on that knife. If you went with straight carbon fiber and no bolsters I'd think differently, but for some reason, for me, wood alone on a knife like that needs a little something to break it up and add some contrast. How are you keeping the handle on? I'll take a bunch of these prototypes off your hands for you next time I see ya. Wouldn't want them clogging up your shop and all that, you know? :D
