Your post begs the question: why don't you like the handle???

I think that is a GREAT looking blade!

No damascus pommel!! It throws things off a tich, maybe why you don't like the handle? still, beautiful work Phil!

I am probably not the one to give you advice. I really like the knife and am a long time admirer of your work. I see nothing wrong with the handle. I agree with Sam that a Damascus spacer would have brought it together. I also think that having the brass spacer engraved and blackened would tie the whole thing together. Excellent work Phillip.

I don't know much, but I do know what I like. I like the whole package. The handle shape just kinda flows with the whole "coke bottle" shape of the blade. Might look a bit better with a damascus pommel, but it ain't a deal breaker.

Everything is perfect but it is "Screamng" for a pommel. Thats all that is missing :)

That is a great looking dagger! I like the handle, but would probably have gone for a hand sanded stainless guard and pommel. Personal preference, I guess.

It's very good !!! I would have preferred a Damascus spacer but don't believe a pommel was necessary. Frank

This +1

Amazing work Mr. Patton! My first look at this knife left me breathless, and my heart beat a little faster. :o :D

Can't say enough good things about this one!

Wow, that is just amazing. Since it didn't turn out exactly how you want, you can send it to me and try again :D What a work of art!

I have to say i love it! I think the handle looks great, I am with rannalf, You could send it to me for "Testing" and start over :D

Nice work Phillip!!!  :)

I'm with Frank... but I'd say a damascus ferrule type spacer with thin bronze spacers on both sides of it. ;) :D

Beautiful steel and an overall very strong and bold shape!!!

Thanks for sharing! :)

Overall, I like it. Especially the blade shape and the way the damascus in the guard fits in so well. The handle wood is very pretty and the grain seems to go with the damascus but I agree with others that a damascus spacer would work better than the bronze. I also lean in favor of a pommel.

I think a pommel would add to it, but a bronze pommel. I think the bronze helps bring out the color and figure in the redwood. Very nice dagger, I'd want to keep it to.:D
