sorry it took so long!

but if anyone remembers I posted a thread about lean-to's here is the one I built.

my photo's have been scanned but they are too large to insert.

so I'll have to wait till my wife comes home and works her magic.

sorry

If you saved them, open them on your computer. You then go to the area that will allow you to play with the pic, maybe called IMAGE on yours (that is what mine is.) Click on RESIZE. If you click on PIXELS instead of INCHES, change it until the size is 640x480. Then save it under the same file name.
That size post perfectly on this forum, and will attach and load up very quickly.

Good luck.

Mike

Looks like a pretty solid lean-to...I would suggest figuring out the best way to cover up the open side (a tarp works great). Also, (though you probably already know this) a tree with a fork in it means that you don't have to worry about finding one side.

Have you tried it on a cold/windy night yet?

It looks awesome, but I wonder if the opening isn't too large? I've always made much less palatial lean-tos, without the stylish cathedral ceilings :) I'm curious to know if you've had trouble heating it/staying warm?

Seriously though - nice job! Looks nicer than my guest house.

Hi Chrisaloia,

Leanto just outside your house? you must have some serious problems with your woman ;) (LOL)

Best Scouting wishes from Holland,

got some good laughs out of me.

bae, the front opening is a bit too large, if I had to do another one it would be lower and longer. another way is once you get main supports it can easily be added on to,make and A frame structure.

I haven't slept in it yet. things got kind of busy with my classes.

but if you noticed my ciderblock grill. I often grill there while sitting in the lean-to. even if in the rain.

bagheera, it isn't my dog house. though I am trying to get my wife to spend a night in it.

one day my wife and I were on our way to run an errand and we were in the car just about to back down the driveway and we noticed an electric company guy going back there to check the meter, so we sat and watched as soon as he turned the corner casually to chck the meter his eyes opened really wide he was shocked. then we looked at him laughing and he saw us and started laughing.

Around here, a hut like that would sell for $150k, and be called "affordable housing" :)

That looks better than my house.

And I just got a second mortage approved on my cardboard box I live in too!
