The little L shaped pieces of metal in the handles (that keep the pliers from touching the tools and frame) bent and now the pliers hit the tools when I'm trying to close it. Has anyone else had this problem.

I had the exact same thing happen to my Charge XTi. I tried to straighten them with pliers once they were bent all the way down, but they broke off. I sent it back to leatherman and they replaced the tool, no questions asked. The only reason for the failure that I could think of was that the hinges were too tight and requiring too much force to close the tool, causing the little metal pieces to break

LM seems to be really cheaping out. Everything from sheaths to overall finish of the product. I edc a Core right now and so far it has performed well, but I am seriously considering a Victorinox, something I know has not compromised in quality.![]()
