Welcome to Blade Forums! You've got a nice collection going :D I don't give it very long until it's grown considerably!

I truly love Kershaw knives. I have yet to find one that I don't like.

What shun knives do you suggest, not a chef so don't know nothing of kitchen knives.

Really any of them, there are some of the highest quality knives you can own. I have a 10 inch chefs, 8 inch chefs, a santoku and a paring knife all the classic series.

That's a great start and you've focused on the right company! Welcome to BladeForums! I have a good set of kitchen knives and this new set. Any suggestions?

Well I was supposed to add a shallot to the collection tonight, but it looks like some kids did the ole hit the mailbox with a bat routine and I can't find my knife anywhere, fml :(

My suggestions for knifes

For amazing kitchen knives I stay with Shun, LamsonSharp and Sabatier.

For a great knife and price you can't beat Mundials made in Brazil and hold up great to abuse.

I like Mercer and F.Dicks but not there price, i'd rather buy Beautiful Shuns

^^^ love that knife holder, where did you get it?

The rents brought it back from the Florida Keys to give me. I can't walk past it without chuckling.

Sucks about the Shallot. Thank goodness they're not super-expensive (regular production versions) to replace. I was thinking about Shun, but now I think I'll pull the trigger. Thanks!

Yeah it wasn't a regular version was a 1840VIB :( argh!!! i've looked in the woods and such with no luck, guess it wasn't meant to be

Though please understand what Shun knives are for. They are the best knives in the world at the task that they are designed for (NOT BONES or JOINTS). Using them for something other than what they are designed for is like taking a Lamborghini off-roading, it will end badly.

Though if you do like them and they are the type of knife that you need, the Classic are a great starter (my wife loves the Premier, but I love the Pro series, though there are fewer knives in it).

You need to add a 1595G10 before they run out!! Just got mine today (need to modify it a bit before posting a pic).
