My local gunstore now carries ESEE. I usually check the knives section any time I go in there just to see if they're running any specials on spyderco or anything like that (sometimes they have neat sales and I like to pick up gifts for friends or duplicate knives in case I break / lose / whatever one), and lo and behold, I saw a 4, 5, and 6 all next to each other in a pretty row. Some OD green blades, some black blades, combi edge and plain edge both.

The prices they had them up for left a bit to be desired, but it was neat to finally see more than SOG / Cold Steel / KABAR in their fixed blade section.

I been selling knives for 20 years now and have never heard of Esee...J/K

Moosez45 did you do some selling in Tennessee

You're pretty lucky buddy, there's almost no stores that carry quality knives in my area. The closet place that sells esee is I think 4 hours away.

Best day ever!

Even if you buy them online somewhere else it's nice to be able to handle them first.

I love having a local shop carry the knives I want!

dude it rocks having a quality blade store near your. a major online retailer's store is 5 minutes from my college... i spend most of my study time there!

Eh, KINDA lucky. I'm not lucky enough to pay what they want for those blades, I'd rather wait on it. This particular store has a wide selection but is well known for their rather hefty markup. The best part is now that they carry a few ESEE, if I'm curious about a particular color combo or comparing a few, I can go there and ask to see a few.

Last I checked they only had 4, 5, and 6 though...no junglas, hest, izula, or any of the other various offerings.

I would never BUY from a store becasue of the prices, but being able to handle a knife before you buy it is pretty great, and excedingly rare these days. :thumbdn: Side note, does anyone know what happened to BLADE show West?

Same here my friend.

I need myself a PA dealer!

It sucks doesn't it buddy? I'm hoping knives will become more popular and more retailers will see the value in stocking them. The only place near me carriers maybe a few benchmades, the rest is sub $20 crap.

cool.
I might have to see about my local shop getting into distribution of ESEE knives.

My local gun dealer asked me to bring mine by so he could get a look at them. Hoping he'll become a dealer. Normally he's hard to please, but in just looking at what info I sent him about ESEE, he's obviously impressed. Hope to make it by this weekend to showcase them.

Blade West was cancelled for 2010, and from what I understand the cancellation is for the indefinite future. Who knows, it may come back but I wouldn't hold my breath. Maybe when the economy improves enough to support it.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH so lame!! I'm sure you feel my pain, being a fellow Washingtonian.
