Hey guys. Been a while since i posted in this part of the forums. When i was younger, probably 6 or 7 years ago i had two EDCs that i carried. Around the age of 14, i got a benchmade ascent. Had that thing in my pocket until my grandfather bought me a CRKT M16-03 (pre auto lawks, when they were made good). Carried that around forever until i wasn't allowed to carry. So i got out of the edc loop. I had bought a bunch of knives since then, and carried a vic. super tinker for a while. Well, i've tried a bunch of knives for edc, but i never really remembered to grab them or never had any chance to use em. The closest thing to the perfect EDC i had was a spyderco caly3 in zdp and a kershaw blur. I carried the blur for a while but i didn't like the clip. So that went back to the EDC table to be used when i needed a knife to grab quick. I carried the caly3 a bunch but never really used it. Then comes along the Spyderco Military my mom bought me for christmas. By far my favorite all time knife. I never forget to grab this one. It gets used a lot and i think S30V is my new favorite steel. It's easy to sharpen, takes a crazy edge and uses very well. It's also an extremely light knife.

Oops, i almost forgot to include pictures.

I must say though. It's somewhat annoying when my military rubs against the seat belt when i'm driving. No damage, just annoying. I'm carrying the caly that's in the picture today, it dissapears in my pocket compared to the military.

my favorite production knife too. the M4/TI/G10 version is my most carried knife atm.

i still need to find a couple of older ones, like 440V and ats34... and a BG42 to match my s90v ... oh and the fluted one when it hits the streets ...
:D

Like many, I have had a good amount of EDC knives over the past few years. Some of them were outstanding knives in every way except they simply did not move me as much as some others. In consideration of that, I have whittled down my tactical style EDC with clips to just a few, all of which never fail to make me smile when I carry and use them. I don't know that I could ever pick a single favorite, but I am down to just a few, all users:

Caly3 in ZDP (so small and light to carry, you don't even know it's there, plus it's a tremendous cutter and workhorse given its size.)
Fully serrated Endura in ZDP (It cuts very aggressively forever)
Gayle Bradley in M4 (Quality and style that sets the bar high for every production knife)
Military in M4 (When a big job needs to get done, this is one that takes it and just keeps begging for more)
Para2 in S90V (Embodies qualities found the the first four knives and is my mid-sized pocket scalpel)
