Last night, when going in to work, I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary. I'm a LPG transport driver and have just recently started loading out of some very remote well sites in the South Texas brush country.
It was getting late when I got to the location, about six miles from an interstate, and unfortunately for me, I got stuck in very soft mud!! While waiting for a wrecker to show up, I did a little walking around with my Maglite to survey the terrain for the best place for him to park to pull me out.
That's when the coyotes started howling at the moon....and noises of twigs/branches breaking started coming out of the brush.
Needless to say, I started making my way back to my truck...with my 4D Maglite in my left hand and my Manix locked and loaded in my right hand. Fortunately, nothing life threatening happened to me after all those tense moments, but it was so comforting to me to have such a well designed, tank-like folder that I know I could depend on as a weapon if I had needed to.
Sal, Eric, and Spydie crew, thank you for such an awesome Spydie. This Spyder really leaves me speechless.....and only reemphasizes my love and pride in owning Spyderco knives.
