See the attached images of the custom knife made for me by Matt Cucchiara. It had a 5.5 inch blade of bead blasted non-reflective S-30V steel 3/16" thick. It also has linen micarta handles of the black and olive drab variety, a squared off butt for pounding and multiple lanyard holes for lashing it to things for survival use.

This knife is the culmination of over eight weeks of Matt and I collaborating via e-mail and the last eight and a half years worth of my experience as a Marine Corps Infantryman and Infantry Officer using and abusing knives.

Check out Matt's other work at Matt Cucchiara's Website www.cucchiaraknives.com

Sexy isn't it?

Very nice! I like the design and it appears to have been beautifully executed. That will be a great tool for a whole lot of different purposes.

That's a cool blade! The blade shape looks very Brendish. The only thing I am not really fond of is the sharp corner of the finger guard at the rear of the blade. Other than that, awesome.

I examined some of Matt's work at BLADE. He does some nice stuff.

Very Nice.
What happened to his post on this forum w/ the link to his website? I wanted to look, lust & covet just a liitle more.

I have one of Matt's folders. He does very nice work. It is hard to believe that he has only been making knives since February.

I second that!! Nice grab!

I like your tiny versions of the knife with the 2" blades. Very clean grind lines and very "user-friendly" design. The larger ones are nice, but the 2" ones are always handy to have around.
