the handle on my meerkat is getting lose !
It its getting worst and worst eash day .I bought it at a pawn shop . Should I send it back to spyderco ? Its not the side that is supposed to slide but the other side that should not move .
What do you guys think?

Your knife doesn't have an issue -- it has a loose scale. By all means, send it back to Spyderco; their warranty service is outstanding.

Call Mike, at Spyderco Warranty and Repair, at 800-525-7770 and explain your Meerkat problem. He'll take care of ya'. ;)

If it can't be repaired, they'll send you a new Meerkat to replace the old one.

how did it work with spyderco? I'm asking cuz I'm just having the same issue with my meerkat...:(
I received it yersterday by new graham and I was quiet disappointed to see that the back scale was a bit loose and I'm afraid it gets more loose

Well to tell you the truth I aint even sent it in to them yet. I'm sure when I get around to it they will fix or replace it. Its a great knife . I hope they bring another out like it .

Well, actually spyderco is continuing the meerkat line, but now the blades are made from cheaper AUS6M instead of 440C. Mine is from an old run and has 440C for the blade, I would be terribly disappointed if they were to send me back a next generation meerkat... :(
For the moment I sent an e-mail today to their customer service so they can tell me the steps to follow in order to get my problem solved.
I hope spyderco will answer this time, I sent an e-mail about my Native, to know if the fact that, the lockbar is moving upward when applying a downward cutting effort, is normal... but since one month I'm still waiting for an answer!
