Wow! Andy Wood from www.rambo-knife.com came down tonight, he went well out of his way to drive down to my place and have a chat for 4 and a half hours, and he brought along with him, his Liles and Hibbens. He has one of the best Rambo knife collections that I am aware of, and I feel really honored that Andy went out of his way to come show me, and let me handle his Liles ad Hibben hand made knives! So this is a big thanks to you pal! :)

We hit it off straight away, I think its gotta be a Rambo thing! We chatted for hours, and Andy told me so much interesting stuff, that I never knew, and Ive come away from this experience a little more wiser thanks to him! He was so kind in bringing his Lile First Blood, and gentleman's folder. Two of his Hibben Rambo 3's, his Mission knife, his mission dagger, Hibben dagger, Hibben 4 machete, and the creme De Le creme, his Hibben Rambo 3 hollow handle, which was shown in the mine field scene. If theres anything that Andy doesn't know about the Rambo knives, then its not worth knowing! This may sound like brown nosing, but in the few hours I was chatting with Andy, he informed me of so much that I never knew about regarding the knives, that I have come away with so much rewarding info.

I'm hooked, thats all i can say, after you handle the real deal so to speak, you can appreciate the quality and hard work that the makers, Jimmy lile and Gil Hibben have put into these inanimate objects, but because of the skill needed to make these, they are transformed into literally works of art! Being from an impoverished background, I never thought that i would ever get to see these knives, let alone handle them! And I cant thank Andy enough. Hes a great guy, and he has restored my faith in hardcore collectors, as he isn't guarded or a show boat, just a truly great guy, with a passion for these movie knives, which he loves to share! He also brought me a book (which I so honored for the knind gesture) its James B Lile The Arkansas knife Maker. The book is really informative, and its packed with full color photos and info on the Lile knives, that its gonna take me quite a while to read, as I'm not a very good reader anyways, but I'm gonna do it, as its packed with stuff on the Rambo knives.

So once again Andy, thanks sooooooo very much for going out of your way, to pop down and let me play with these knives. :)

And last but not least, my Jimmy Lile book, kindly given to me by Andy. :)

Sounds like a great time! there are some huge knives there my friend. Andy sounds like a nice guy, must have been so much fun talking and learning from someone you admire and respect. :)

He is a great guy! The best thing is that hes so down to earth, and has nothing to prove by owning these knives. Some collectors can be really up themselves! Luckily, the knife collecting fraternity arnt all like that, as Andy proves this. :-)

Impressive collection.
Great knives and Andy sounds like one of the good guys !
