Got it 2 6 weeks ago, however is there a real difference over the old CPM440V model? How do I tell if mine is the new model? I do not have an old model to look at. Any chance of pics? Thanks!

Most obvious of the original (older) models are clips having 2 screw and the finger choil blade area with grooves cut into it. Current (new) models use a 3 screw pocket clip and have no grooves cut out at the finger choil.

My Military has an ATS 34 blade, triangular three screw clip, and a grooveless choil. What version is this?

Toothed, your is one of the current models. The other is the CPM440V steel version which is ground here in the states (CO).

Cool, thanks gents! Mine is the new one! Woo Hoo!

What is the difference between the 440V Militarys with the 3 screw silver clip and the ones with the 3 screw black clip? I was wondering because I have both and I thought I heard that there was a quality issue with some of them, but I'm not sure which ones or what it was.

There is none. The latest generation of the Military originally had a three screw silver clip, but they were changed to black late last year. It was the only change made to the Military at that time.

I also have an ATS-34 full serrated version with a 3 screw silver clip and grooved choil. Is that just one of the transition knives when they were changing styles?
