Decide to make a leather sheath for my NMFBM.
This is the second sheath I have ever made. I went for a taco style with a simple strap lock and no attachments for carry. I may add belt loops later, but for now that will live inside a backpack. I made a few mistakes in the process but nothing that I can't live with.

For in a backpack sheath you could have left the bottom squared, less hassle getting stuff in & outwhen the big & heavy knife is standing upright.
I would be careful with leaving the drainage hole this big for a heavier knife, I’ve seen ASHBM that was dropped into a pouch sheath that cut right through the welt and thread and came out the bottom about 1/3 of the way.
Nice effort regardless!

Thanks for the suggestions. The knife is very snug in the sheath and does not move in it at all, the patch that I used to cover the cap on the inside tightens the fit nicely.

Nice!
My warlock powers are not strong enough to partake in sheath making wizardry....I salute you!

How did you learn to make them? I want to make one for my Forsaken Mistress since I don't want to send her away.

Do you have any learning tips/recommendations?

When I wanted to make my first sheath I went on youtube and found video tutorials by Ian Atkinson

he shows the tools and methods for doing leather work .
There are other videos as well.
