So this comes at the request of a member on the forum so I figured it might be helpful for others as well.

From left to right in order by weight:

NMFBM brown/tigerhide .28 thick - 2:00.95 - This is just an awesome knife! It's much lighter and more manageable than the original one I owned which was much beefer and almost unbearable to swing.
FBM LE satin/tigherhide .32 thick - 1:15.20 - I love this knife but even though it's lighter than the NMFBM it seems heaver in hand. I'm not sure why, I think it's something to do with the thickness.
CGFBM faux satin/black and orange .25 thick - 1:12.55 - The CGFBM is a great all arounder enough said :).
FFFBM faux satin/black canvas .27 thick - 1:10.55 - This knife is one of my favorite all arounders along with the CGFBM.
ASHBM black/black canvas .32 thick - 1:10.55 - I love that the ASHBM has a slightly larger blade with a smaller handle at a manageable weight. From what I've seen and based on how it feels in the hand I'm sure it's going to be an awesome chopper as well as very manageable to carry on hikes on the hip or in a pack.

Paul, thanks for the post. I'll have a CGFBM and NMFBM in the house soon. I'll post the stats here as well.

The Battle Mistress series is awesome! It looks like you've got a few mistresses  Congrats on a very cool collection.

My ASHBM weighs 28.14 ounces (one pound 12 oz. or 798 grams). I guess the difference must be that it has G10 and no choil. I think it chops fine, basically obviates the need for a small hatchet in the woods. When purchased it was advertised as having a 2" blade width, but I see they've changed that now to a more accurate 1.875. I wear a XL or XXL glove and the straight handle fits my hand very well. If it were much bigger there would be too much room to slide about on it. As is, it provides a nice grip, even with the smooth hand shaped G10. Personally I think the chopping tests are interesting and entertaining, but there are so many variables involved I'm not sure how much a guy can get out of them in terms of which knife is better. For me the ASHBM works well enough (very well, IMHO) that buying another BM would certainly be a "want" and not a "need".

I know all of the designations and I know FF=Fat Fusion but what does FFFBM mean?

same as the FFBM from what I was able to find in various threads
CBFBM = is the corrugated bevel technology version

The flat bevel version is referred to as FFBM - flat fusion battle mistress
Apparently some people liked to call it Faf Flat Fusion Battle Mistress, but there is no difference in the thicknesses

here is the reference:

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but if I'm not mistaken it stands for full flat fusion battle mistress @ .27 thickness. The ffbm is the fat fusion battle mistress saber ground @ .32 thick.

Hope this helps.

Nice blades Mainaman :thumbup::thumbup:! Where's the NMFBM? You gonna do any chop offs?
