I'm curious if there's any interest from anyHOG here living in the USA who's never handled a Combat Grade Battle Mistress if they'd like to put her up for maybe a week and get a little time playing with her in return.
I'd like to keep it small... This is the first time I've seriously considered letting one of my favorite knives go walkabout for a few months, and I would miss this knife dearly if I lost track of it. This Busse's sentimental value is much higher to me than its actual value, but she also has a bit of a rep as a "goodwill ambassador" Busse so to speak, so I guess she wants what she wants!
Shipping would be on each sender, and it will have to be handled like any BladeForums Exchange and/or Passaround Forum deal...insurance, tracking, sig confirmation, don't mail in an envelope, outstanding comms, blah-blah-blah. If the interest is there, I'll start a new thread with everything outlined to avoid confusion on the passaround terms before opening the list. I should mention that I would also be looking for those interested to have a little skin in the game, so to speak...a paid membership here in support of BladeForums would help, definitely good history and a decent post count in the Busse and/or Swamp Rat forum are important...things like that. If it's something like your first month here or your first post in either forum...well don't hate me, but I've been burned and trust is earned, so maybe the next time.
Also looking for posted reviews and definitely pix of the Mistress getting some love to go with those posts, but she would be a loaner, not a knifetests.com review knife... You won't have to treat her like a lady, but there will be no treating her like a tramp.
I've been corresponding with one member about the CGFBM and extended the offer to him already if this flies, so one slot is already taken, and I'm thinking a maximum of...5-7(?) people for this round.
