These are EdgeTim's Hawks, looks like he did some good work.

Now, we need details. Length of handle, finish on head, ect.

Details

Length of handle is stock, roughly 19 inches I believe. The finish is a stain with polyurethane(sp?) I let it sit for a while after an insane amount of sanding. It was still really tacky after almost 24 hours. I dont have a lot of experience with stains and woods honestly. So I decided to give it another light sanding and then it really got smooth. The top above the head is a little rought looking but smooth, and honestly I plan on using the hell out of it to see if I can break the bond between the head and handle. The finish on the head is Rustoleum flat black, enamel protection.

I heated the head to 200 degrees for a little over 20 minutes, put Gorilla Glue on the top portion of the haft, put the head on while hot and punded the hell out of it until VERY snug. Let it set and proceeded to put the screw in the side in as tight as I could get it. This thing is solid. Well see how it holds up to some throwing and light woodwork in the back yard.

The handle wrap is just standard mil paracord, wrapped like I have seen on this site. I read that soaking it in water doesnt make much of a difference, so I just wrapped it dry, and made sure it was TIGHT.

Let me know what you guys think.

Tim
