I'm either ADHD or just thoroughly enjoy playing with my ESEE knives.

Every one of the above knives has been changed somehow.

1 and 2 both had their handles grooved and smoothed, but they also swapped grips. The ESEE 5 also had the edge convexed. It feels better to me without the divot and I like the feel of the gray linen more than the brown canvass. I keep the ESEE 6 in my vehicle and the 5 basically nearby all the time. It is my “Get out of Hell free” card.

3 started out green and orange, but is now stripped, convexed and wearing scales from 4.

4 had it’s butt rounded and covered with blueing and is wearing 3’s orange scales and has bolts from a TOPS Pathfinder. Cool look and still fits in the sheath.

5 is wearing gray scales from another ESEE 3 that is now naked and hanging on my peg board and has the original RAT PACK bolts still on it. This is now my EDC.

6 is polished and wrapped. It’s a wall hanger.

7 is my stripped IZULA with HEST scales and rides in my modified IZULA sheath in my pocket. Guess that makes it an EDC as well.

8 is a fun one. I have two of these babies. One with the fire starter, this one has a diamond rod I ground down to make a little shorter and machined it into the aluminum. Great for field touch up of an edge. I got the rod from an A.G. Russell sharpening set.

Please note, at no time did I strip a thread in the reassembly of any of these knives. They only need to be snug, not torked.

Nice job all around, but I particularly like your EDC.

I have been thinking of swapping some handles, too. I may just have to give it a try after seeing your results. . . .

We are the same, every one of my esee's are modified in some way... That's what makes it MY knife.

Good job on all of them!
