my most sentimental knife just died...HELP!!!

ok so I just went to open my s30v kershaw blur(very VERY sentimental knife to me) and the spring assist doesn't work anymore!

I have heard its possible to disengage the spring some how but could I have don this by accident???!!??!!.....


I feel naked and empty without it and there is NO WAY I can afford to send this one to the factory or get a new one

please someone help me !!!

Send it to Kershaw or ask them to send you a torison bar. They'll fix you up in a jiffy.

Yep... If you don't want to send it out, first try asking them if they'll send you another torsion bar. Take your knife apart and fix it.

Or, send it back. All it will cost you is two or three dollars postage.

You can do it yourself by ordering a new torsion bar free of charge from their site -or- send it in and they will do it for you. :thumbup:

It sounds like yours just snapped. It is really easy to fix.

You can't disengage the torsion bar on the blur unless you remove it. Yours probably snapped after some use--Kershaw will mail some to you for free!

thank you so much everyone! .... I just disassembled the knife and yep the torsion bar is snapped longways on one of the bends...I am emailing the right now

or.... you can drill a detent and keep it as a manual. I did that to my zt300. I HATE AO.
