At least until it reaches Bodycote. It has been stripped of the cord wrap and sent to Darrell Lewis and Co. I decided to do as Duane suggested and do the three later coating. The results should
be very cool. It is then going back to the Strider guys to get the handle rewrapped.

I also sent a couple of Spydercards along for the regular Boron Carbide coating. I would have had them done in the three layer coating but Ann said that the steel in the Spydercards wouldn't stand up to the temperature of the Tec12 coating (900 degrees).

I hope I can get some pics of the knife to post when it arrives back at my place.

The customer service at Strider and Bodycote is amazing. They both answered all the little questions to get this done quickly.

This reminds me of when I bought a BHP. I took it to my favorite gunsmith and had him remove the magazine safety. He also gave it a trigger job and extended safey. This was before I even shot it. A friend was laughing at me because I can't leave anything stock.

Thanks Mick and Duane. Also thanks to Ann and Darrell at Bodykote.

The lady to talk to is Ann Spuller. She is really great.
We talked for a while about their coatings on pistols as well
as knives.
