This is my first post in the Schrade forum and I have just now realized that Schrades as I know them from my youth are no more, I know I am a little behind the times. When I was a kid all of use had and used Sharpfingers and they were perpetually on our belts or in our back pockets, at the time and place I was raised it was excepted and common. Every hardware or feed store had display cases full of Schrade knives, they were as common as gravel, those days are no more. Right now I have and use a 130ot, 160ot, and a 152ot, I want a 165 and a 150 in the worst way but prices on Ebay are insane, do any of you know a better source. I am not looking for NIB collectors pieces but good solid working knives in good condition.

Thanks, Chris

The schrade sharp finger was and still is one of my favorites. I used to carry the Schrade deer slayer on one side of my belt, and the sharp finger on the other. They could be sharpened to a very fine edge, cleaned alot of game with them, and butchered some livestock too.

The blades would easily stain, so I always had to keep a light coating of oil on them, and avoid using them for spreading mustard- that stuff is corrosive.

My sharpfinger blade is a blue black patina almost like it has been blued, I think it looks nice. There really is no telling how much game, large and small that I have dressed with mine and it is still going strong it is about due for a new sheath however, I am thinking about kydex, sort of a blend of old and new. Chris
