I ordered 5 Naniwas last month and they shipped out of Japan. The 5000 and 8000 arrived the other day, but the 3 other stones are stuck in ISC New York, where they have been for almost a week. I've read some bad stories of things being stuck in ISC New York for over a month! The two stones that already arrived were sorted through ISC Kearny, NJ. Somehow the other two boxes got separated and went to the NY sorting center. The USPS can't help, and of course Japan Post can't help. Customs is above everybody, And no one at customs will take (or return) calls apparently. So there is nothing I can do except wait for the shipment to be released... with zero communication, zero expected due date.
On the plus side, I'm glad it was the 5 and 8 that got through. Though I'm really looking forward to trying the 10000 (especially on my straight razor). Previously the finest I had was 6000... the 8000 is a palpable step up from it, and I"m expecting the 10 to be discernibly superior to the 8.
