... it still impresses me everytime.
I got my second hand Native III for $45 (Native 4 went at the same time in here, thanks to taxes and all, around $120) and I've had Native now 18 months. Even when I first saw Spyderco native years and years before getting first locking folder (was Spyderco native II I guess ) I was drawn to it. However it took me nearly a decade before I aquired my Native. I never liked how Native 4 looked like, so I opted finding the Native III. The awful looking swedge on 4 did turned me away. I had initial suspections about riveted knives but Native III surprised positively. Rock solid every way and beautiful looking. I've soon had it 18 months and I reserve it mostly all around home and camping knife. Its great knife and only problem is it itends to kick out my Superleaf out of pocket when I head into woods...
Its great little knife and I love it. Its aesthetically very pleasing, has great ergonomics and very nice blade shape with VG-10 steel that I've come to respect and like even more than S30V simply as VG-10 in here is more corrosion resistant stain resistant than s30v and its easier to touch up in field than s30v (albeit VG-10 and s30v are in my top 5 steels both). Thank you Sal and Spyderco for designing this knife.
I will post pictures of my Native III when I get chance.
