  :p ...Well...After drooling over the 112/442 knives that someone in this forum has been putting together for a while now, I'm happy to say I am now the proud owner of a beautiful 112/442 hybrid thanks to Chickentrax. That 442 blade was made to nestle in between the bolsters of that 112. It went together nicely and came out locking up solid as a vault with absolutely no wobble or wiggle ( after a bit of fine tuning...LOL... ). All this happened because Trax motivated me to make up something that I can't get from the Custom Shop just yet. Following his lead and all his advice, I can now add this beauty to my EDC rotation. I'll try to get a pic up this week end if my kid comes over. She has the camera. I'm not a "collector" , I'm a "user" and this baby is gonna get used...Thanks Trax...:D :D  :p

Pictures!!! We want pictures!!! (She didn't borrow your scanner, did she???) ;)

...Well...I wish I had a scanner Trax...your's seems to get a great picture up when you want it to look as good as it is. This cheapo Olympus 395 totally sucks so this is as good as I can post. The knife is much better looking than it shows. All thanks to your lead...I do love the knife tho. It feels great and is as solid as a tomb...

That looks excellent!!! You obviously have a mechanical background!!! :)

The blade looks wider in the last photo...

I wonder what Mike will say... ;)

Very nice. I like that blade.
But that starts me to wonder, clip or drop...which are the pros and cons of each?
Goose.

 :) Thanks a lot Trax...I "kine" think that you can make something look any way you want with this el' cheapo camera just by how ya position the thing. I HATE this camera... Trax...the knife looks and feels like it was meant to be a drop point. I love it. As to mechanical backgrounds...I was a Quality and Mechanical Engineer in another life...LOL...so I do retain a tiny bit of that "kine" ability...Having the "ability" and actually doing it are two different things however...You're jumping in to do what ya do gave me the motivation to do this one. Now I'm in a bad position...I am one of those with the "addiction" and now I'm also contemplating getting the tools necessary to do more ...That's not a good thing from the economic standpoint...LMAO...I believe that my wife hates you...LOL...:p

Darryl - Is there a Harbor Freight near you??? If so, buy something and give them your email address...I get discount email coupons all the time...10% off, 5% off, etc... :D

They're ChiCom probably...but for what little I do, they work... :)

 ...hmmmm...Seems there's a Harbor Freight somewhere in Tampa...That's about 50 miles from me. I'll have to look into that Trax...Thanks ( I think )...LOL...:D :D :p

Mike says "Excellent" As a lover of the 112, it really is a good modification. Great work Darryl.

I second that, and am really looking forward to the BCCI's next offering...IIRC the mate to the 110 drop-point...a 112 drop-point.

Nice work Darryl. Preston
