I've finally gotten around to sizing and uploading pics of my new WWII and here is the link: 18" WWII. The link is a public Album on Facebook so everyone should be able to see it. If not, I'll upload them to my website.

So far, I've used the Khukri to cut weeds and chop a couple Scrub Oak trees in half for a camp fire. Did a fairly good job on the Oak too. It was sold as a blem on Friday the 2nd because of some cracks in the handle. They don't look like they will go anywhere and if anything, they add some grip, look cool too. But if they ever do go anywhere, I'll just fill them with black epoxy. This Khukri is a keeper!!

Congrats on your new khuk Heber. More than a few times I've heard that the 18" WWII is preferred over its smaller sibling. Glad to hear that you like it and I'm sure that you too will have many good times together.
Peace
Rick

Thanks Rick! Looks as though I'll need to spend some time in the bush figuring out what roles each WWII Should get. :D

I've had my 18" WWII for about 2 months now and am still really liking it. A few weeks ago I took it out back to do a chopping test. Pitted it against the M43 I have for fixing. Didn't bite quite as deep as the M43 but I'm not really surprised seeing as that M43 has to thin an edge. Against a pine 4x4 it did pretty well. It seems to handle brush okay, though I have not done what I would consider a proper field test.

Specs:
Spine at bolster 13/32nds
Spine at shoulder 3/8ths
Length 18 and 3/8th inches
Weight 27.6oz
Blade about 12"
Handle about 6"

Thursday I hope to head to the hills and do a proper test of my WWII, the M43 and some other Khukris. Hope these pics are good for now. ;)

Heber, that is a fine looking' khuk! I'm a big fan of the WWII, but don't have an 18 incher. My two 16.5" models weigh around 25-26 ounces. Your 18" seems to have a great weight for that length. The generous handle offers many different holds also, just like my M43. That hand and a half hold produces some mighty good power! It's not usually needed, but it's nice to have the option. Is it a Tirtha? I have a Tirtha and a Murali. The Tirtha is my main user, I guess you could say. Tirtha did a very good job on the blade and the whole thing is just rock solid. Have fun Thursday and dress warm:)
