I finnaly got my 42, and I'm going to say what everyone else did, wow it sure is light. One thing that I did notice is that it is a lot more smooth than my china cheapie. the handles are too long which is a matter of personal proference. As with most mine didn't come real sharp, which is fine with me for a brand new knife I'm just getting used to. I have studied it closely and I can't find any casting imperfections in the handle. Someone wrote that the latch drops left a little to be desired- not in my opinion. On a scale of one to ten I give it eight and three quarters. And I quess the only reason it loses points is becuase I'm not used to it yet, so I will give it a nine and three quarters- becuase there is something I don't like about it, I just haven't found it yet.

What's the matter everyone tired of hearing about the 42 already? I can't balieve I have to write a responce to my own topic, so here it goes- nice review INSL8R.

Sorry about that, its great to hear that you are enjoying it and it sure does blow many balis away. I would have answered earlier but I have been VERY busy the last few weeks. Its ok dont feel bad no body posted to my report about my 42 and I got it over 2 months ago

oh well good luck.

What other balis do you have in your collection? I will let you know in more detail how to post pics, but basically the easiest way is to get a free photo point account. I look forward to seeing pics (of 42 and your collection)

Welcome to the club dude.

I think everyone is just a little burnt out on the 42 for right now.

Remember, this topic HAS been going on for a few months for some of us.

I have two on order. They are supposed to be here this week. (When pigs fly or when Gollnick sells that Samson Kris) I am concerned about the weight of the 42's. I have always used heavy Balis. I really like the feel of brass handles. How are you guys coping with difference?

When I first got my first 42, quite some time ago now, the weight difference was very dramatic and I really did have to adjust. But, it didn't take long. Now, I move back and forth easily. I really do like the 42 now.

Balisongs -- because it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing!

When I first swung a 42, I noticed it was different because of the weight difference with the 45, but I always liked it better. Moves just as quick, but beats up on your knuckles less. Really like it.
