My second 50th 110 came today and it is sweet! It is a solid knife that well represents the 50th anniversary of the 110. However, I made a mistake in ordering and instead of getting a regular 110 and a finger grove 110, I got two regular 110's. Totally my mess up. Oh well, I guess I can give it as a gift or something unless someone has a FG they want to trade.

Those, both sides, are some pretty dark rich wood slabs. I haven't seen any with blond or light colored slabs yet but they are still rare knives for me to see. Good knives. The finger groove models can be too thin for someone with a huge catcher's mitt for a hand like mine so that my fingers encircle the knife and meet my palm. It doesn't really bother me, however, as I like the safety of the FG as insurance against my fingers sliding onto the blade's cutting edge during a push cut. And the FGs just look great, particularly in a photo. The camera loves FGs. Get two FG models now for twin sets! :)

I saw a terrific display case at the local Costco with lighting, dark wood construction, big enough, cut glass in the doors doors, mirrored back and glass on the sides. I would like one on either side of the TV like bookends. Pretty nice furniture. It would be a real step up for me and look somewhat stilted in my simple home. Someday maybe. Putting the $ into the cutlery so far. I don't find it online so I can't show you a picture of it. The dark wood of this cabinet reminds me of the wood on your pictured 110. Exotic and wealthy looking.
