My new 940

I recently found an awesome leather and cutlery shop in my neck of the woods with a great Benchmade selection along with many others including CRK, Spyderco, and ZT. I went there intending to walk out with a green aluminum 940. But the CF caught my eye and I decided to treat myself to an early birthday present. Happy birthday to me!

I was expecting the handle to be slightly larger but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I'm just used to larger handled knives like a BM 710 or Para 2. But overall I love the look and feel and the blade is sharp as all hell!

Sweet surprise finding a place like that.......but your wallet, and wife, will hate you!!!
Ummmmmmm, I see no pics though!! This rates an infraction, but we'll give you a couple hours to straighten this problem out!!

Thanks Joe! I had trouble posting the pic using Tapatalk but it appears now to have posted. I told my wife it cost $50:)
 
This knife rules. I recommend a free BM black split-arrow pocket clip if you want to sex it up.

Love the new blade, 940 is always the best go-to folder. I know the New Hope shop as well, great people there! Hope you enjoy the blade brotha! And if you want the free clip, email benchmade and they'll send you any ones you want.

Call benchmade and ask. They'll send it for free. One of the pluses of buying benchmade (you pay extra of course for the extra after purchase features).

Nice purchase indeed. I think it's one of the nicest knives around. I really like my 943, more and more as I use it, but I still like the looks of the reverse tanto on the 940 a little more. Really want to get a 940 and have some micarta scales made for it but I need to stop spending money on knives for a little while. I keep buying one, thinking I'll sell it, and then I just keep trading for something else instead of actually selling something.

940/943's are keepers.

Yeah Ditto for me too. I would be double screwed. One for spending the money and two for lying. The latter would be worse. But the 940 is a sweet knife. Maybe its worth it. :)
