Oh ... you were expecting a Busse? :p;)

No, the CABS is not here yet.

This is a Tom Krein Vagabond. The Ultralight option version. 0.14" at the ricasso, but a beautiful taper all the way to the tip. Plus, Tom makes swiss cheese out of the tang to cut weight. You can see that it is very close in size to a Leaner/Meaner/Tweaner. This one has grit blasted G10 scales with black liners.

Nice, skinny blade

Handle is little thinner than the Tweaner.

Tom makes a nice Kydex sheath; I opted for the IWB carry loop. Without the loop, it drops in the jeans pocket, a lanyard helps getting it out.

Thanks. I've been crazy about the Vagabond ever since Tom introduced it last year. For some reason, I never wanted to simply place an order, just kept hoping one would become available. So my ship came in late September.

Nice knife Guy  Congrats man

I have a couple of Tom's knives and they are very nice

I like the Vagabond alot

Unfortunately, I'm too damn fat to do IWB on anything other than my shirt tail :D

I really love that Meaner, but then again, I think everyone knows I like meaners... I don't think I have that one yet... =)

Nice skinny, Guy (the knife, not the suck-in shot :D).

My latest skinny is a Laconico bushcraft/utility made from 1/8" stock.

But I'm also liking my Fiddleback custom Recluse with tapered tang.

That's a well-thought-out design for backpacking. Is that why it has the name "Vagabond"?

It's slender and packable, and as you said, built with attention to weight. Tom also makes a nice sheath. I have a couple of Game Warden sheaths he made for me.

I don't think so. The other knives he introduced around the same time were named Rogue and Renegade. Vagabond just continues the theme.

The shape is based on the Laguiole folder, which is about as utilitarian as they come.
