Since I plan on spending more time in DC soon, I decided to go ahead and buy a sub-3" folder for EDC. Upon further research I went with the Benchmade 555HG. It arrived today, one day ahead of schedule and shaving sharp.

I've immediately fallen in love with it, and it has now replaced my Recon 1 in my pocket. As you can see, it's quite blue, which I'm hoping will be considered a non-aggressive color by the people in my EMT course. The one problem I have with it is that the blade is slightly off center.

It's not a huge problem, but if anyone knows a good way to fix this I would like to know.

I'd try the below instructions first.

With the knife closed.
I would loosen all the screws including the clip screws
Now snug down on the pivot. Not real tight, just hand tight.
I then gently, but firmly, apply pressure to each side of the knife in opposite directions.
Left side up/right side down or Left side down/right side up; while at the same time seeing what combination gives you the desired results.
While holding the right effect, start tightening screws.
If the tightening of one particular screw ruins the effect.
Tighten this problem screw last.
Once all screws are tight, adjust pivot.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
