I have a feeling I'm going to need a mini in M4 in the near future. That knife should last you a life time. I really like the scales you’ve chosen. I’m still jonesing for a Mini Tanto using M4, quite possibly in purple because it’s the only color that could possibly match it’s overall awesomeness, haha.
Thank you. The grind looks a little off to me as well as the centering maybe it's just me. Maybe the coating is making it look that way?Looks good. I like the scales. Had an LE Grip with that texturing years ago and it did feel good in hand. I like M4. I prefer it uncoated but it's a good steel either way. Looks like a nice job on the blade centering and the left side blade grind. Does the grind on the clip side match the show side?
As McFeeli said, that knife can be a lifetime tool for you.
Thank you. Yeah it's close and like you said I'll end up sharpening it anyway. I'm happy with it. It's a really nice knife and my first in M4 and my first from the Custom shop at Benchmade. I recieved it in less than a week so the overall experience was real good from Benchmade.Yeah... if that was mine I'd mark it as 99.9 out of 100 and be happy with it. The thing about bevel grinds is once you start sharpening it yourself, it's eventually gonna be "your" grind anyway. After a while, you'll sharpen away the factory edge and probably the factory grind angle just in normal maintenance. That one looks pretty even to me from one side to the other, so I don't see any problem with the bevel grind angles.
