I received my new BF NATIVE the other day and it is great. I Have two of the original model and I really like them.I have a friend who is a electrician and he saw it and had to have one to use in his work. he told me it works perfect for doing electrical work because of the blade geometry.I also got one for another friend who is an Air Force Jet mechanic. He tells me the Native is perfect for using during his mantainence procedures on jet engines. He is a lefty and couldn't find a one hand knife until the Native came along. He likes the short thick blade for the type of work he does. He now is serving in France for the Kosovo thing and sayes the Native is working out very well, he just has to keep a close watch on it because everyone he is working with wants one. The CPM-440V steel would be a nice addition for these guys when it become available. Lastly, What is the finish on the clip of the BF Native? Should I get a regular one so as to preserve the blue one?

Don't bother getting another regular Native so you can use the clip. They aren't interchangeable (at least, not between my two). When I tried to install the regular Native's stainless clip on the BF Native, the hole in the clip wouldn't line up with the hole in the handle. So, I'm just sticking with the blue clip. I was thinking that the stainless would look REALLY cool. But, oh well. Half of the time, I carry it without the clip anyway (at least, my regular Native, that is).

The clip from my Rescue98 Jr fits well enough. It pivots slightly within the mounting recess. I'm guessing the recess is enlarged to fit the thicker (due to the baked on enamel or epoxy coating) blue clip.
I like the look of the silver clip better. The blue clip made the native look too much like a toy to me.
