It's dark and raining so excuse the first pic.
I'll get some better ones at a later date.
I put some other objects in for scale.
The second was from Yandu
Kimber Gold Match.
Tramontina Bolo Machette
HI Sher CAK 17inch, 32oz from 2/02/07 DOD
HI Sher CAK 19.5inch 42oz
Yurco neck knife.
Cuda Maxx 5.5 blade, one foot overall
I liked the 17 so much I asked for a bigger Sher made CAK.
The 19.5 is perfect for what I wanted.
Part knife,part ax,part sword,part hooligan tool.
The handle is big enough to use two handed but it's light and balanced enough to use one handed.
I was able to breach a heavy wooden fence in seconds.
The Karda has a 4 inch blade and was easy to thin out and sharpen hair shaving sharp.
Handle on Karda is big enough to be usefull.
Between the two the ultimate survivial tool.
A little note about the ring on the handle.
I love the 17 inch CAK without the ring.
Very comfortable,32ounce is light to me.
That said the ring on the 19.5 acts like a sub hilt.
Swinging that beast, the ring is a comfort.
Fits my hand perfect.
Fits between the fingers to provide a more secure grip.
In the bigger Kurks there is plenty of room to get the proper grip.
I can see it a problem if the grip was too short to move your hand around.
As it is I think it's pure genius.
A subhilt that allows you to choke up or down to fit the need.
