My new BK 9

Just came in today from Chestnut ridge knife shop...only took a month and a half. (insert sarcasm)

They're so new I havn't had a chance to put a paracord wrap on the Eskabar yet (I put that s**t on everything)...truth is I have 200' of camo cord in the mail. When it gets here I'll wrap it.
Question: Dosn't the BK9 come with a smaller knife? there's a place in the sheath for it... was expecting it, and realy dissapointed it wasn't included. The Eskabar was for my wife, but with out that smaller blade I'll have to keep it
These are my first Becker/Kabar blades. That 9 is one beefy monster.
 
Depending upon where/who you buy it from would determine if it came with a bonus Remora. Congrats on the BK9 and EsKabar! They're both pretty blades, right? Enjoy~
 
Welcome to the Becker Forum, brother, glad to see you here.

The BK13 Remora does not come with the BK9 anymore. There was a run of around 100 that had those. They were Chinese made, and were a test run of the blades, a good way to get them out there, to use. There is a current BK13, made in American, and it will work just fine in that pouch.

Sorry for the delay at CRKS, but glad you got your blades, those are a couple of great, great knives. A more perfect combo, you couldn't have.

Enjoy those blades, and hang out here whenever you want, we're glad you're here.

Thanx for the info Moose! Their site is kinda missleading. No where do they say the Remora isn't included and they show pix of the 9 with the remora...so what are you suposed to think? Oh well it all worked out in the end, I get the 9 and the Eskabar (sweet). Now I have to find something else for my wife, or maybe I'll look for the BK13 and then she can have the Eskabar.

I'm ordering those two soon, and maybe a bk3(depending on the wife).:thumbup:

KaBar is making them with the new sheath.

whether or not your trusted supplier of choice has old stock or new stock is a good question to ask when you order.

the one i got some weeks ago has the new sheath

Looks like a good setup to me you'll realy like the BK-9 unlike most choppers it isn't to terribly thick.
