Hey folks. The BK11 I won from Clich in this thread http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/888615-Why-do-YOU-need-a-bk11-Contest.-Winner-announced arrived this past Friday. I ripped that box open and started giggling like a little girl almost immediately. This knife freakin rocks! I had an idea in my mind of how it would be but getting to hold it in person is a whole different story. This thing is seriously solid. The micarta grips are just right and fit my hand well even though the knife itself is on the small side for my hands (but it is a necker after all). I am amazed at just how sturdy this thing feels. Here are a couple of pics of the package Clich sent. Included were 2 sheaths, one with a nice Kabar belt clip and the other still in plastic with a length of paracord for attaching it. Also included, of course, was the BK11 in its nice new paper sheath.
A close up of the BK11. Man this thing is a beauty.
After a few knife strikes in the air I decided to test it out. First things first, must torture the family.
I snuck up on the cat. He was like whats that in your hand?
When he realized it was the BK11 he just gave up.
Next was a random female ginger child roaming my house. She knew she stood no chance against the BK11.
Next I moved on to my wife but since we all know its silly to put yourself in a survival situation unless you have to, I used a stand in.
I really REALLY love this knife. Clich is definitely the man for giving me the opportunity to own one of these babies. I really appreciate it and you can count on seeing some pumpkins losing some flesh in the near future! Number or not, member or not, I can tell that I will be a Beckerhead for life. Now I need a reasonable excuse to secure a BK2. Hmmm....
