right after i took this i batoned through some old fire wood i had in the back 2 or 3 whacks and it split like kindling

anyway this is my new 2nd gen bk2 not much to say that hasn't already been covered on this sub forum other then i think kabar fixed any prolems with the sheath cause this one holds just fine (rigorous shaking upside-down only loosened it around 1/2 inch.)

i wish i could remember the posters name but somebody on here said to put bike inner-tube on the handle for a better grip and thats what i did it offers a slightly sticky texture and is very comfortable its even helps with the shock of batoning i wish i could remember so i could thank them for the idea.

OD 550 para-cord lanyard with a noose knot so i can tighten it around my wrist the white stone bead keeps the knot from closing in on its self so its easy to loosen and has a actual function other then looking pretty for now its being oiled with olive oil until i can pick up some mineral oil

well thats my knife i am thinking of naming it THE BEAST

Nice photo! Also SilentJohn, I believe you said it was purchased from Amazon. If so, give them a call and get a price adjustment. They lowered the price today. Afterwards, get us some more action shots!

its cool i payed that price :D thanks for your consideration , and yes i will be getting some action shots soon i might hit a trail near my house its not much but it should make a decent testing ground till i can get into the thicker bush this summer

thanks.

and the inner tube is a great idea i just wish i could remember the name of the guy i got it from it completely solves any grip problems

Thanks, I just picked up a bicycle tube at Target. I'll try it out.

i wonder if Hogues pistol grip slip ons would work also?...they have finger grooves, and theres nothing like the pebbled texture Hogue offers

They might work I have never heard of them but I will say the inner tube takes a few minutes to slip on

The finger grooves wouldn't be good if they shifted around and/or while holding the knife in various grips (not ergonomic). :thumbdn:

i think they shrink tight...ive never used them, but my brother put them on a H&K pistol he owned. he had to boil them to soften then up so they would stretch on, then as they dried they molded to the pistols grip. just an idea

these things are getting snatched up as fast as they hit the shelves! boy am i glad i bought mine 6, maybe 7 years ago. i remember the gun show i got it at, i bought a BK2 and a Bushmaster carbon fiber AR-15 pistol....and only one earned its keep.;)
