Well, it arrived yesterday, and I was able to get it from the front office this afternoon.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this little knife *fits* my hand. The grip, with its finger cutouts, is perfect for my size
7 1/2 hand. The action is smooth, lockup is the best I have seen on a spyderco lockback to date. By this, I mean that the front and back end of the locking bar are flush with the scales, both in open and closed position.
The Almite is the really cool gunmetal color, and the cutouts are done very crisply, without any slop on the edges.
The blade shape looks like it will be enough for most "indoor" cutting jobs.

My only complaint is that the clip is short and seems to be very thick, making it really stiff. Then again, I have not clipped and unclipped it enough to tell how this will affect me. It may even end up replacing my mini dyad as my money clip. Naaaah, I love that mini dyad. I may just carry money in both front pockets.

If I had been able to handle this piece before today, I probably would have bought one outright.

Thanks again to Sal and the crew for the great contest, I AM A LUCKY MAN!

Sal, just wanted to say that it is 3.5 years later, and I still am enjoying my Blue Almite Navigator that I won in your Christmas 2000 giveaway. Thanks again! It makes me nostalgic for my old Bob T. spydie. That was such a unique blade design!
