Here's a pic of my new BM-42.Apparently the BM 42 knives are slowly making they're way to the dealers.I'm happy to say that this is one of the finest butterfly knives I've ever handled.I love it so much I will be buying another.Great job Benchmade! Thanks,Ralph

Just interested in what dealer you bought it from. Just trying to keep track of were they are coming from (as you can tell, I'm still waiting for mine). Thanks, E.

Oh yea, there seems to be a problem with photopoint. I'm not farmilier with it, but it seems like a dead link.

Congratulations TOMBSTONE!

You're finally a member of the "Those that have 'em" club (as opposed the the "Those that want 'em" club), and I couldn't agree more with your assessment.

Just wait, it does get better. As much as you like it now, in another month you'll really be in love with it.

Good luck with it!

Because......
getting 'em open
is half the fun!

Thanks Clay,I'm sure I'll love it more, but I was used to it right away even with the lighter handles factored in.I fixed the link,so the pic is up.It has a plain finish,no anodized handles.I looked for markings and apparantly its the regular production,no proto or pre-production markings.I'm suprised being on the west coast, the dealers there you would think would have them sooner.I got mine from a local dealer here in upstate N.Y. and he sold out of the first shipment.Well I hope the wait isn't to long for the rest of you,its definetly worth the wait though.I'm anxiously awaiting my second one.

Those that want 'em' club
Those that are waiting for 'em' club

I'm in the " those that are waiting for onestopknifeshop to deliver 'em' club "...

btw..i got me a Combat Talon II...one sweeeeet knife..

now, do i change my order form a 42S to a 42AS or not?? hmmmmmm...

Yup, still slow to get. I managed to scrape one up from a local dealer in town(440/500). I wholesaled some items to the shop and instead of cash, the BM42 was partial payment. Nice blade. I'm not sure if it had marks from being displayed or handled or if it was QC problems from Benchmade, but I still took it anyway. That was my 1st BM Butterfly myself.

Quijebo, I had two 42's on order at one stop. I found two at a local dealer, so I called one stop and changed my order for one to be a 42a. Mike said he didn't know when he would get the A's or how much the price would be. He did say he thought it would be much longer, and that I would have to pay more than the 108.99 that I would pay for the pre-ordered 42. I hope that helps you make your decision
James.

I'm still in the "waitin for em" club..

my vendor was supposed to get them in the tuesday after Blade... i'm starting to get the shakes
