My new BM Pinnacle/750

Hey everyone. I just got a NIB plain edge, satin finish Pinnacle off of Ebay for (what I think) is a great price. Well, it is here...and the knife is really nice. The blade shape is remarkably beautiful and looks to be really functional as well...very shallow recurve. There is one problem though. I'll do my best to describe it, and any help would be appreciated.

When opened, the lock bar meets the face of the blade tang (?) about halfway...this seems right and all fine. But when I press onto the lock bar, just in a normal sabre grip, the bar jerks upward, it has vertical movement. It is secure as far as horizontal movement goes and the blade has NO play in any direction, but this doesn't seem right. Can someone help? Maybe let me know if this is normal, or if I should send it to Benchmade? Thanks in advance

It sounds like it needs factory service. I think BM has had their share of problems producing this frame lock, probably one of the reasons they discontinued it.

That baby needs to go back to Benchmade.


I hope you can get this problem easily and quickly resolved.
