So, I arrived home about two weeks ago and one of the first things I did was to pull out my new Busse! This Desert Bushwacker Battle Mistress is, bottom line, incredible! The balance is great, and the grips are just about the most comfortable that I have ever held. I don't have a caliper to measure the blade thickness, but it's not super thick. The corners are nicely rounded and the whole knife just feels "right". I haven't had the opportunity to get out and do any chopping with it, but that's only because of the long list of "I gottas" that accrued over my last trip. I'm also leaving very soon to go back "over there", so house projects take priority. I should be able to get out this weekend, though, so I should be posting some user pics by Sunday. I don't know who made the sheath, but it is quality as well; it holds the knife firmly in place until needed and then releases with a push of the thumb. Anyway, I just wanted to share these pics with you guys. I figured the German Desert Flecktarn that my Son brought back from Afghanistan would make a good backdrop. Enjoy!

BTW, I looked through my basement a couple of times looking for my mid 90s Busse without success. I'll give it another go before I leave. If I find it before I leave there WILL be pics!
