i recently made a deal with Yvsa and got me a older model Kumar Karda, carved wood handles and what i like about this most is the blade is slimmer in design to the newer ones, old style chu, much smaller scabbard than the ones now and no frog.
this knife rides perfectly in my front jeans pocket with about 2/3's of the handle exposed--feels like it made to be there--this came with a awsome hair popping convex edge--no english markings just the six pointed star by Kumar
this has been my EDC since i recieved it and will continue to be so.have been looking for small fixed blade to always be with me and this is it.
Yvsa i want to thank you for such a wonderful little knife that i can see was well loved and cared for by you and will now be by me. :)

I got one this past week and mine is gorgeous as well, beautiful wood handle, no carving but fantastic grain and I love the blade, I just love this blade.

I also got a JKM-1 and took that along hiking this weekend so it wouldn't feel bad about being left at home.

Sorry...I am confused (as you know). The Kumar Karda is the bigger carved knife, right?. Okay, so I have a carved horn Kumar Karda which I love and it went hiking with me and so forth. The JKM was left at home but it will have an honored place maybe as soon as next week.

Once you have these unique knives you don't feel the same way about production knives, do you?

terry,

Steve, you'll have to get used to it that this isn't like most forums and it is very rare for anyone to flame or put anyone else down, so if you see a post like Terry's you are safe in assuming it was in fun.

As far as pics are concerned. I will be happy to post any pics anyone might have who can't because of their membership status.

Regards,

Norm

terry,

I'd like to say yes to get you to sign up, but no...it's from another site. I just linked to it because it's a nice one (and usually gets the point across the way its intended ;))
