My new buying obsession: Paracord Gear (WARNING: PIC HEAVY)

I wanted to share a few pieces of gear that I recently received from barnesbands. I ordered them through drbarne's site, (( rules violations )), and I have to say that I could not be happier! The first thing I thought when I got the package is that I need a lanyard for each one of my blades and a few D-guards. Perhaps my favorite thing that I got are the chopping lanyards. Now I can put my choppers to good use without the fear of ending up with a traumatic injury from my poor technique!. I wish that I could make this stuff myself.

I have become friendly with Barnes ever since I won a giveaway for a D-Guard and a Chopping lanyard a while back. I recently took the plunge and ordered a few things. I thought I'd share this with the HOGs, because if any of you are like me, you will really like what barnes makes.

All the stuff I ordered (now I want a matching colored lanyard for each of my blades):

Desert Camo/OD DF & OD NMSFNO Chopping Lanyards, OD/Black Box Lanyard for my .23" ASH:

OD/Urban Camo Spiral Cobra w/ Glow-in-the-dar skull Lanyard for my BJ (want one for my 5-11) & Black/Blue Snake Lanyard for my BAD:

OD King Cobra & Black/Gecko Cobra Barnes Bands (w/ matching zipper pulls) & Adjustable Neck Lanyard for my Bear Cub:

OD Band w/ Buckle on my wrist:

I think I picked out some good color combos & weaves, what do you think?

Flux, man, its not 200.00 a year for a knifemaker, craftsman, service provider membership! Look it up! Its 60.00. Better to get your facts straight before making those of us who have one look bad.

Oh man. I guess you're right. I am just going off second-hand word of mouth. I mixed it up with dealer. Thanks leatherman and I had no intention of making you look bad.

ETA: congrats on your forthcoming subforum!! I have been wanting some Leatherman sheathery for a while!

Is that a HACK Bear cub I see ? Hmmm, nice

nice gear the weave looks nice but if you are truly obsessed with paracord you will need to get a paracord belt :D

Yeah! Barnes has a sweet one that I'm trying to convince him to give me. Haha. It'd be so perfect to carry 100' of paracord at all times in the woods around your waist.

well i am planning on doing another give away for one some time next month

Oh really? That's cool! When I won Barnes' giveaway, I made him a site, albeit a crappy one. I still have a lot of work to do on it.

HMM. I think I have several lanyards with the color on the right. I have woodland camo, but it is a lot greener than that. Something with blue, red $ tan would be cool perfect. The only problem is that the lanyard hole is SOOO tiny.
I have found with the smaller holes strip out the inner strands of the paracord that will let it fit through the hole

Forgive my rule violations. I meant no harm by it. I did not mean it as a free form of advertising for a member, I was only trying to provide hogs a site to find gear for their Busse blades.

Anyways, drbarnes is going to purchase a Craftsman account tonight, so it's water under the bridge.

Once again I apologize for my blatant ignorance of the rules. I forget that this is more than just a Busse forum sometimes.

Enjoy the photos!

The pommel hole on the HBC is too small for 6 or 7 strand paracord, even with inner strands removed. My micrometer reads .096" for the pommel hole on the Hack Bear Cub.
