Someone had a thread about CBK's over in Traditionals. I dug out a couple I have, and thought I'd also include my awesome new CBK EDC from John.

Anyone else got a CBK (of any kind) to share?

Great picture!

I do not have any in that style, but I have enjoyed seeing the versions that John has made; there have been some beauties!

I've had a JK CBK on my list for a while, thanks for the pictures, really making having less money easier grumble grumble :p :D

Very nice! What is the handle material on that one? Also, what is it you like about that pattern?

Nice photo glennbad. The JK really stands out in that group!

That handle is rosewood. I can`t speak for Glenn, but the curves in the handle make that knife feel great!

I believe John did this in Rosewood. Myself, I like the overall feel of the design. You feel like your hand is on top of the knife, you can place your thumb on top of the spine, and it still feels like the blade has enough belly underneath. And, I just plain like the look of the design! I don't know if that is what you were looking for...

I forgot to mention...when you see the knife in person, it looks small, but it fits your hand quite well and comfortably. Now I gotta go find something to cut with it!

Here is a shot of my standard sized CBK in hand. To help answer the "what is it you like about that pattern" question, I find the shape helps with slicing and the blade can also be easily "rocked" like an ulu (really simplifies food-prep sometimes). The thick contoured handle is also super-comfy for longer periods of use (the thin ones above, not so much).

I just realized that all the pics I have of this blade is of it in new condition. I'll have to try to get some recent pics to show the awesome patina that has built up.
