My Grail finally arrived. Pure beauty. She's almost too pretty to go beat on............almost, but not quite!!

Here's a few pics brand new, unused and razor sharp.

My baby just arrived, so my first order of business was to post here. It may be a few days before I can go put my Choppy through the paces, however I've noticed right off the bat.........the handle design is plain sick. It fits my mit like it was designed for me.

I would normally head out to the woods in a special circumstance like this, but those "Ratty Daddy's" you saw in the pics were not going to drink themselves.

I may not be out chopping with my Choppy tonight, but rest assured I will be fondling her the rest of my waking hours this evening.

And yes......when I say "her", I mean my Choppy.

Very nice! Took your advice and got myself a KDSH! You were right! I definitły waited too long! Thanks for the advice! And again. Great score! Congrats!

Right on Otter.

I'm a huge tomahawk fan and own many. I've been probably the strongest advocate for VTAC that one could be......and I always will be, but as awkward as it is for me to say after all these years.......the KDSH has taken the top stop in my opinion in the tomahawk world.

One day I would like to do a detailed write up about it. I don't think it gets any better than the KDSH.

More and more I'm becoming a huge believer in the Swamp and their 52100 treated steel. Their designs and ergos on top of the steel they use is plain bad ass.

Speaking of bad ass.......did I mention my new Chopweiler yet?? ;-)

The only bad part I can see about getting a Choppy is that its the yard stick all other knives get judged by in the future once you handle one.

Well once again you convinced me to add something to my list! I got another ratchet I gotta square away and then a Paul's Hatchet but I gotta track one of these down now! Your a bad influence...lol!

That's the impression I'm getting.

Right on dogg! Your going to love them!!

Now that is one fine blade sir! What's the length of the blade if I may ask?

Indeed it is! 7.5 inches of 1/4 inch, differentially, proprietary heat treated goodness! Speaking of which.....just by oiling the blade, you can now see the temper line, even through the coating. It's extremely hard to see in the pics, but you can definitely tell in person.

Here's a shot showing the Chopweilers thickness....1/4 inch......next to the BK2 for comparison. The BK2 is known for being a stout, indestructible beast.

That's funny cuz I looked at modern Hawks and only wanted a winkler because I can't afford his traditional hand forged Hawks. Then you got me into modern hawks!image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg. See what you started!
