I just sold my TNT Damascus and obtain "Ludwig Hideout" by MS Harvey Dean. The blade is forged 1084 (4 3/4") and handle is desert ironwood.

I am perfering custom fixed knives more than folder now.

Hey reflex,

Welcome to BladeForums and congrats on your new knife. Harvey Dean is without a doubt one of the very best bladesmiths out there and that's a nice example of his work that you've picked up. I think I've ogled that very knife (on knifeart.com, if I'm not mistaken) more than once. It's a nice, clean design that I find quite appealing.

Cheers,

Roger

Harvey Dean makes some kickass knives. That is a very nice example you have there. I notice that there is no visible Mastersmith stamp on this knife. Is it on the other side or does Harvey not use one.

Hey Keith,

I've got a mini-bowie by Harvey and it is stamped "DEAN" in blocks on one side and "MS " in script on the reverse. I'm guessing it's the same deal with the knife pictured above.

Cheers,

Roger

NICE!

I own 2 Dean knives (hunter and fighter).
Once I add a bigass honkin coffin handle bowie to add to the mix I will be content!

beautiful. I had a Dean bowie once that I ordered from Harvey himself. It was a beautiful blade....I kick myself for selling it all the time...

Reflex_1, may I also welcome you to the forums, and thank you for sharing a peek at that little lovely! Great knife! There is just
something special about those Master Smith's knives.;)
